I have everyone's questions except for question 2 from Nick. This is due today, so please do this ASAP so I can organize the blog and turn in our assignment.

Questions 1,3,4 look good, if anyone has any input on changes they feel should be made post them sometime today and I will fix appropriate parts if needed before I turn in the assignment. Good work guys.

2.) Alex’s statement that he is underpaid for the work that he does directly relates to equity theory of motivation. Equity theory states that employees will often look at other situations comparable to their own in order to establish a referent standard in order to evaluate their own position. Employees make comparisons of both their inputs and their outputs in comparison with others. Alex lacks the support from his boss, Dan, which Stephanie is able to expect from her boss, Jonathon. It is clear that Dan neglects to challenge Alex in his tasks at the supermarket, and as a consequence Alex has become bored and unsatisfied with his job. This becomes even more frustrating to Alex when he is aware that Stephanie is given interesting tasks with a variety of functions that keep her motivated and focused when she is at the workplace. Moreover, Stephanie is also challenged intrinsically with the opportunity to gain a substantial bonus if she is able to sell a certain quantity of a given product. Meanwhile, Alex is finding it difficult to push himself to constantly stock apples and re-organize shelves when he knows that no matter how high his input of effort his output of pay will not change. Additionally, Alex has also become aware that his pay rate after two years of employment is significantly lower than that of a co-worker’s who has recently been hired. All of these factors have led Alex to believe that he is justified in not working as hard if he feels that higher efforts will not be rewarded in terms of higher pay.
